Yes, her parents had problems, yes, she was a little stuck up and shallow, but nothing that was life or death. In fact, until she was fifteen, she was just the prom queen, nothing more, nothing less. Then her whole life changed. She was at school when a strange man came up to her and revealed her destiny as the Slayer. After getting in trouble (such as burning down the school gym), Buffy's parents divorced and she and her mother moved to Sunnydale, California. Little did Buffy know that her move there was preordained, as it was the Hellmouth. A mystical portal to hell that attracted all sorts of evil. It was the very night she moved there that she met the love of her life, Angel. She also met who would compose the "Scooby gang", her Watcher Giles, best friends Xander Harris and Willow Rosenberg. They discovered her identity as the Slayer after she stopped the Harvest, a vampiric ritual. The three have been best friends ever since. She and Angel began to fall in love. He was older, mysterious, everything she had ever dreamed of in a man. Little did she know that he was also a vampire, cursed with a soul by Gypsies. Should Angel ever experience a moment of pure happiness, his soul would be lost forever. It was difficult, but she accepted this and continued to love Angel regardless. Giles warned Buffy that she would eventually be forced to battle the thousand-year-old vampire leader known as the Master. Upon learning that the infallible Pergamum Codex prophecised her death at the hands of the Master, Buffy quit being the Slayer and contemplated leaving town, but accepted her fate after Willow discovered bodies of their classmates slaughtered inside the school. Buffy was overpowered and left to drown in a pool of water in the Master's dwellings, but Xander resuscitated her and she managed to defeat the Master and stop him from opening the Hellmouth. She was technically dead and the prophecy came true. However, now that she had drowned, another Slayer was activated and briefly came to Sunnydale to help fight the vampire power couple Drusilla and Spike, both Angel's former protege's. The two managed to get away, beginning the epic battle that would last for years. Drusilla killed Kendra. After Buffy and Angel began 'offically' dating, she and Angel had sex. It was the moment of pure happiness that would rid Angel of his soul. Once it was gone, he transformed back into Angelus, his evil alter ego. He went on to join Spike and Drusilla, and torment Buffy emotionally. Finally everything came to a head when Angelus decided he wanted to destroy the world. Spike only wanted Dru and himself to make it out alive, so he and Buffy teamed up to stop their lovers. At the last moment, Willow, who had been growing as a witch, restored Angel's soul. Buffy was forced to kill him anyway to save the world. One of many sacrifices she would be forced to make in her life. After Angel's death, she ran away to LA, living under the false identity of "Anne". She eventually went back to Sunnydale after learning she couldn't escape her fate. Mysteriously, Angel was returned from the Hell dimension, and Buffy was instantly drawn to the ensouled vampire. There, she met the rebellious new Slayer, Faith. The two began to be friends, but then, while patrolling, Faith made a mistake and killed a human being. She was apathetic about it, then tried to blame Buffy. Soon after, Faith went insane and joined the Mayor in hopes of bringing about the apocalypse. Meanwhile, Giles had been fired as Buffy's watcher for being too close to the Slayer. Soon after Faith's departure from good, Buffy quit the Watcher's council altogether once they refused to help Angel after Faith poisoned him. They did learn that the blood of a Slayer would save Angel from the poison, so Buffy went to get Faith. The battle left her in a coma and unable to get to Angel. Buffy sacrificed herself so Angel may live and bears the scars to this day. Buffy then led her classmates in a climactic battle against the transformed and newly pure demonic Mayor and his minions, which culminated in an explosion that destroyed the Mayor as well as Sunnydale High. After the smoke cleared, Angel left for Los Angeles so that Buffy could try to have a more normal life without him. Buffy started college at UC Sunnydale. She met Riley Finn, someone she thought was a normal guy. It turned out he was a demon hunter in a government sponsored program. They had a relationship, and he helped her through the death of her mother. Joyce Summers died of cancer much to the anguish and shock of Buffy...and the sister she had no idea had ever existed. Dawn Summers simply appeared one day, and everyone had memories of her as if she had been there all along. Riley and Buffy broke up when she discovered he had been letting vampires drink from him. Actually it was Spike who made the discovery. Spike, who had sworn vengeance on Buffy. Spike had a sick fascination with Buffy, an obsession. He even kidnapped her, offering to stake Dru to 'prove his love'. The sect that Riley worked for had put a chip in his head and that stopped him from hurting humans in any way. So he settled for demons and became a reluctant member of the Scooby gang. This however, came in handy when he and Dawn discovered that she was, in fact, the Key, mystical energy that would open all portals if bled out in a certain place and time. The hellgod Glory wanted it open so she could return and Dawn's blood would do it. Despite everyone's efforts, Dawn's blood was used to open the interdimensional portal and chaos reigned on Earth. Buffy defeated Glory, sacrificed her own life, using her own blood to close the portal so Dawn wouldn't have to. Afterwards, Buffy was buried on the outskirts of Sunnydale with the epitaph, "She saved the world. A lot." Finally able to rest, she ascended to heaven and found peace. Willow, her girlfriend Tara, Xander and his girlfriend Anya, raised Buffy back from the dead with a spell that Willow discovered. They believed her in hell, not knowing she had finally found her gift to the world, discovered peace, was with her mother in heaven. It took Buffy time to adjust again to living, and in that time grew to have a secret romantic relationship with Spike so she could feel alive. Finally, when Tara died and Willow got angry and tried to destroy the world in her grief, did Buffy understand that she wanted to live. As Dawn enrolled in the recently rebuilt Sunnydale High, Buffy was offered a job as guidance counselor by Principal Robin Wood, which she gratefully accepted. Spike returned to Sunnydale after regaining his soul in an attempt to prove himself to Buffy. Buffy recognized the difference in him, and even when it seemed he may revert to a dangerous killer, she assured him that she believed in him. When agents of the First Evil, the Bringers, began tracking down and killing Potential Slayers in an attempt to wipe out the entire Slayer line, Buffy's home quickly filled up with teenage Potentials who came to Sunnydale for protection. Buffy stepped into a leadership role to the girls and worked to train them into an army that could stand against the First and it's army of ancient Turok-Han vampires. She later contacted the Shadow Men for assistance, who offered to increase her strength via the essence of a demon. Buffy refused, unwilling to sacrifice her humanity in exchange for power. Meanwhile, a reformed Faith, having escaped from prison to help Angel, travelled to Sunnydale to aid the Scoobies in the battle. Upon learning that the First's minion Caleb had something of hers, Buffy led the Potentials into battle to retrieve it, which resulted the loss of several girls as well as Xander's eye. Blaming Buffy for the deaths and injuries, the Potentials held a mutiny and appointed Faith as their leader instead; even Buffy's friends and sister refused to stand up for her and Buffy was forced to leave her own house. Only Spike remained loyal to her, and his love and encouragment gave her the strength she needed to keep fighting. Buffy found the object Caleb was keeping from her—an ancient Slayer Scythe—and earned back the Scoobies' trust, informing them of her plan to share her power with every single Potential. Willow used the Scythe to perform a spell which activated Slayers all around the world, and a huge battle was waged in Sunnydale between the Slayers and the Turok-Han. During the fight, Spike sacrificed himsef to close the Hellmouth once and for all. Before he crumbled to dust, Buffy admitted to his disbelief that she loved him, before escaping the ruins of Sunnydale with the other survivors. Now Buffy is trying to organize and discovered some new Slayers on a ship ready to take off. She too was invited, but declined. After finding out about the others however, she and her friends decided to go. Personality: Once upon a time Buffy was nothing more than a bleach blonde valley girl with nothing more going on in her life than shopping and boys. While becoming a Slayer changed her, it didn't change who she was as a person. Good, compassionate, albeit a little shallow. Time matured her, and now she's a strong woman, a leader, protector. She's fiercely loyal, independent and will never give up her dream of having a normal life. {Other Info:} Has had three serious relationships with Angel, Riley, and Spike (if you can call that a relationship really). She's died twice. Is caretaker for the Key (her sister and now dormant). Has awakened Slayers all over the world. {Optional Information} This is only Buffyverse Buffy Summers. Whatever happened on Angel (Such as her relationship with the Immortal) has not happened to her. Nothing from the season eight comics has happened nor will.
